Lorraine V. Kingsbury

June 2, 1922 — May 6, 2008

Lorraine V. Kingsbury, 85, of Mason City, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.  Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Friday (May 9, 2008) at Our Saviours Lutheran Church, 2502 South Jefferson Ave., with the Rev. Sid Bohls of St. Pauls Lutheran Church officiating.  Interment will be Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery.   Visitation will be held 5:00 7:00 PM Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. and also one hour prior to the service at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the Hospice of North Iowa or the Lorraine V. Kingsbury memorial fund.
 
Lorraine was born June 2, 1922 in Mason City, the daughter of Clarence and Clara Marie (Elstad) Kittleson.   She graduated from Mason City High School. Lorraine was married to Gail Kingsbury December 27, 1982 in Atlantic, IA.   She loved traveling with her late husband Gail, crossword puzzles, shopping trips, and most of all, Lorraine cherished her family and she loved the time she spent with them.
 
She was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church and also the Moose Lodge in Mason City.
 
Lorraine is survived by her children, Sandi Svestka and husband Kirk of Austin, MN, Terry Williams and wife Betty of Mason City, Bill Williams of Mitchell, Carol Lorentzen and husband Bob of Mason City, Michael Williams of Mason City, and Tom Williams and Dee of Austin, MN; eighteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and many great-great grandchildren; brothers, Laverne Bud Kittleson and wife Marilyn formerly of Mason City, Alfred Kittleson and wife Mary of Delmar, IA; sisters, Evelyn Callanan of Clear Lake, Margaret Grell of Northwood, and Beverly Sturges and husband Don of Edina, MN; and her special friend Gloria Shaver.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gail Kingsbury; one sister, Carrie; two brothers, Nels and Jerome; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren in infancy.
 
The family would like to give a special thanks to Kentucky Ridge Assisted Living and also Hospice of North Iowa for their wonderful compassion and care.
