Loretta A. Anderson, 78, of Mason City, died Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Good Shepherd Healthcare Center. Memorial services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday (March 1, 2007) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Sister Lois Erpelding of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church officiating. Inurnment will be in Elmwood ? St. Joseph Cemetery Columbarium. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be sent directly to Hospice of North Iowa, 232 2nd Street SE, Mason City, Iowa 50401. Loretta was born February 22, 1929 in Mason City, the daughter of Frank and Susan (Emory) Jansen. She attended school in Mason City and graduated from Mason City High School in 1946. She married Harold E. Anderson on August 19, 1950 in Mason City. Loretta was a member of PTA and Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Loretta is survived by her children, Marianne Barclay and husband Tad of Canyon Lake, CA, Sue Nuehring and husband Roger of Mason City, Weege Anderson of Mason City; grandchildren Reed Barclay Mason City, Adam Barclay and wife Marti of Mason City, Richard A. Nuehring of Mason City, Stefaine Reyes and husband Jorge of Hampton, IA, Kayla Nuehring of Mason City; great-grandchildren, Raquel, Sonia, and Jorge Jr. Reyes of Hampton; brother, Kenneth Jansen and wife Mel of Florida; sister, Mary Mentink and husband John of Mason City; many nieces and nephews.
