Lois M. Muth

Clear Lake Lois M. (Long) Muth, 99, of Clear Lake, died Sunday, July 4, 2010, at the Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Steve Hansen of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Lois Muth Memorial Fund in care of the family.

Lois was born January 18, 1911, in Crookston, MN, the daughter of Albert and Maud (Norman) Millard. She graduated High School in 1929 at Shelby, IA. She married Harold Long on November 19, 1930 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Harold died in 1966. Lois later married Edward Muth in Mason City. Edward died in 1990. Lois enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, fishing in Minnesota, and playing 500 card games in the wintertime. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was also a charter member for the Bath Township Womens Club.
Lois is survived by her daughter: Henrietta Muth and husband Orville of Clear Lake; three grandchildren: David Muth and wife Donna, Dale Muth and wife Mary, and Kathryn Cheney and husband Kevin; five great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and many sisters and brothers.

Memorials may be directed to the Lois Muth Memorial Fund in care of the family

Cemetery:
Inurnment will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Memorial Park Cemetery

Visitation:
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service
