Lewis W. Snook, 79, of Mason City, died Saturday March 24, 2012, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit – Mason City. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Ron Stein of the First Baptist Church officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held 5 – 7 PM Monday, March 26, 2012 at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held in Derby, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the Lewis W. Snook memorial fund in care of the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.majorericksonfuneralhome.com Lewis Wesley Snook was born October 15, 1932 in Wayne County, Iowa the son of Arden and Maple (Patterson) Snook. He attended school in Chariton, Iowa, graduating in 1951. He was united in marriage to Shirley Sherman on June 21, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa, to this union four children were born. He worked at Piggly Wiggly in Mason City until going to work at the East Hy-Vee in Mason City until his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mason City. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was survived by his wife, Shirley Snook of Mason City; children, Marlene Jefferis and husband Curt of Hutchison, KS, Deborah Snook of Mason City, IA, Wes Snook and wife Joanie of Ankeny, IA and Connie Handt and husband Brad of Grand Island, NE; grandchildren, Michael Snook, Samantha Snook, Bobbie Snook, Nicole Johnson and Brandon Handt; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Wendell Snook and wife Ginger of Superior, AZ, Arden Snook and wife Londa of Joshua Tree, CA and Ronald Snook and wife Marsha of Sioux Falls, SD. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents.

Cemetery:
Inurnment will be held in Derby, Iowa.

Memorials may be directed to the Lewis W. Snook memorial fund in care of the family.

Visitation:
A gathering of family and friends will be held 5 – 7 PM Monday, March 26, 2012 at the funeral home.

Service:
