Lenore O. Kollman

November 19, 1921 — March 22, 2008

MASON CITY:  Lenore O. Kollman, 86 of Mason City, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Heritage Center. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Ave, with Rev. Steve Palo officiating.  A private family burial was held in the Rudd Evergreen Cemetery in Rudd, IA with Pastor Tom Healey (Chaplain Hospice of North Iowa) as the officiate.   Memorials may be directed to the Lenore Kollman memorial fund.
 
Lenore was born on November 19, 1921, the daughter of Carl and Tille (Thompson) Ogaard.  Lenore married Kenneth Kollman on August 16, 1942.  Lenore and Kenneth had two sons, Jerry and Larry. 
 
Lenore attended schools in Plymouth and Mason City.  Following her marriage to Kenneth, they lived in Rudd up until the time of Kenneths death in June 1961.  After which Lenore and the boys moved to Mason City where she lived until the time of her death. 
 
Lenore worked initially for Jacob Decker and Sons and was retired from the K-Mart Corporation having worked initially for S.S. Kresge.  Lenore will be remembered for her baking and needlework talents.  She was a baptized member of the Lutheran Church.  She was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City, where she continued to be a member at the time of her death.  She was active in church circles until her aging years prevented her from participating.   
 
She is survived by her two sons:  Jerry Kollman (Sharon), and Larry Kollman; three sisters:  Iola Wood and husband Leo, Delores Moorehead and husband Mike, and Bonnie Ogaard; one brother:  Gordon Ogaard and wife Rose; one brother-in-law:  Dean Miller.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kenneth, and three siblings:  Clarine Timm, Gilbert Ogaard and Norma Miller.
