Lang Carl J.

Carl J. Lang, 94, of Mason City, died Saturday, April 26, 2003 at his home. A funeral mass will be held 10:30 AM Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams, with Rev. Dennis Cahill officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday with a rosary service at 7:00 PM at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, and for one hour prior to services Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Memorials may go to the Carl J. Lang Memorial Fund. Carl was born September 1, 1908 the son of John and Lena (Lex) Lang. On June 6, 1939 he was united in marriage to Laura K. Hemann in Albert Lea, MN. Carl enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, and card playing. Carl also enjoyed gardening and canning. Carl is survived and lovingly remembered by his sons Eugene Lang and wife Bette of Winnsboro, TX, Dean Lang of Mason City, and Duane Lang and wife Helen of Marshalltown, IA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Carl was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one daughter Theresa, five sisters, and one brother.
