Mason City - LaVerne ?Larrie? A. Kilby, 82, of Mason City, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, IA. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday (June 16, 2006), at the Church of Christ, 710 N. Kentucky Ave., Mason City, with the Rev. Alan Sheldon and Jason Miner officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 ? 8:00 PM on Thursday (June 15, 2006) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City. Inurnment will be held at Elmwood-St. Joseph?s Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Hospice of North Iowa or the Church of Christ. Larrie was born on April 1, 1924, in Sisseton, SD, the daughter of William R. and Susie (Samson) Schulz. She married John S. Wall and they later divorced. She married Kenneth Kilby in May, 1976 in Austin, MN. She worked at North Iowa Medical Center-West Campus as a cook before her retirement. She enjoyed making personalized greeting cards and spending time with her family--especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Wall) Miner and husband Dean of Manly, IA, and Terri (Wall) Gardner and husband Dennis of Rochester, MN; step-sons, James D. Kilby and wife Delia of Greene, IA, and Mike Kilby and wife Donna of Austin, MN. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Dale Schulz of Henning, MN, and many nieces and nephews.
