Kenneth Roger Dixon

Kenneth Roger Dixon, 69, passed away on May 29, 2008 at the age of 69 at the Kingwood Medical Center, Kingwood, TX.  Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday (June 23, 2008) at the Grace United Methodist Church, 200 14th St. N.W. with the Rev. Steve Hansen officiating.   A private family inurnment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.  Memorials may be directed to the Kenneth R. Dixon memorial fund in care of the family.
 
Kenneth Roger Dixon was born on February 12, 1939 in Northwood, Iowa to Emil and Almira Dixon and Kenny attended school in Manly and Mason City, Iowa. The night of graduation, he left to serve his country with the Air Force for four years. Kenny loved to enjoy the outdoors, especially if it involved fishing on the Mississippi River close to his home in Clear Lake, Iowa. One of Mr. Dixons favorite past times was making new friends wherever he happened to be and conversations with these newly formed acquaintances came easy. This served him well during his16 years of co-ownership and operation of his automobile dealership in Clear Lake, Iowa. In his younger years, he greatly enjoyed dancing with his wife and Polka music always got his feet moving.
 
Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife of forty years, Karlene Akers Dixon; one son, Chad Dixon and wife Cheri, and granddaughter, Kimberly Dixon of Humble, Texas; sisters, Janet Lane of Mason City, Iowa, Marlene Rague and her husband, Roger, of  Sun Lake. Arizona, Geraldine Pacheco and her husband, Able, of Thornton, Colorado and Diane Simmons of Parker, Colorado.

Memorials:
Memorials may be directed to the Kenneth R. Dixon memorial fund in care of the family.

Cemetery:
Private Family Inurnment will be held in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN

Memorial Services will be held 1:30 PM Monday, June 23, 2008 at Grace United Methodist Church.
