November 10, 1946 — January 9, 2014

MASON CITY: Kenneth Eugene Field, 67, of Mason City died Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Memorial services will be held 1:30 PM Monday, January 13, 2014 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Martha Bennett, Floyd Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Inurnment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Floyd. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Kenneth Field Memorial Fund. Kenny was born November 10, 1946 in Charles City the son of Harry and Eunice (Stewart) Field. He was united in marriage to Kathy Engels December 21, 1974. To this union two daughters were born, Tracey and Susan. Through the years, Kenny was employed by the Floyd Quarry, several area farmers, the Mississippi Barge, Perkins Restaurant, and most recently with Kraft Foods from where he retired in 2013. Kenny loved drinking coffee, trains, and visiting with his family, friends, and neighbors. He will be greatly missed by all. Kenny was a member of Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage. Kenny is survived by 2 daughters, Tracey (Danny) Markham of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, and Susan Rae Field of Mason City; 2 sisters, Pat Swedberg of Lancaster, Missouri, and Ginger Shipman of Nora Springs; 1 brother, Eddie Field of Ringsted; 5 grandchildren, Chelsea (Brandon) Munhall of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Nicolette Walk and Zoe Walk of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Madison Markham and Faithlynn Markham of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; 1 great grandson, Connor Haberman of Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, wife Kathy on March 23, 2009; 1 brother, Roger Field; 1 sister, Judy Schilling; 3 brothers-in-law, Bob Schilling, Ron Shipman, and Deryl Swedberg.

Oakwood Cemetery, Floyd, Iowa.
