MASON CITY: Kathryn Stevenson, 95, of Mason City, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the Good Shepherd Health Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 14, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 419 N. Delaware with Rev. Mark Lavrenz officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Kathryn was born January 14, 1919 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the daughter of Reinhardt and Anna (Rahmig) Fisher. At the age of 10, Kathryn’s family moved to Mason City where she would attend school. Kathryn married Paul A. Stevenson August 16, 1946 in Mason City. Kathryn was employed by Jacob E. Decker and Sons for 15 years and worked as a checker for Easters Grocery for 13 years. She was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, LWL Missions, Priscilla Circle and Bath Farm Women. Kathryn is survived by a daughter, Judy (John) Forster of Pinehurst, North Carolina; son, Dr. John (Julie) Stevenson of Austin, Minnesota; 4 grandchildren, Travis Stevenson, Emily Frank, Amy Caliri and Greg Forster; 6 great grandchildren. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul in 2001; 2 brothers, David and Reinhardt; 1 sister, Anna Weitzel; 2 sisters in infancy and Kathryn’s twin at birth.
