June I. Quinlan

March 13, 1922 — April 5, 2008

June I. Quinlan, 86, of 421 S. Carolina, died Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center  North Iowa.  A funeral mass will be held 10:30 AM Friday at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 302 5th Street SE with Rev. Kenneth Gehling officiating.  Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue.  A scriptural wake service will be at 7:00 PM.  Memorials may be given to the June I. Quinlan Memorial Fund.  June was born March 13, 1922 in Brookfield Township Worth County, Iowa the daughter of Sever and Emma (Johnson) Helgeland.  June married Selmer Mandt in 1938.  He died in 1945.  June then married Donald L. Quinlan June 3, 1957 in Mason City.  June worked as a clerk at Brick and Tile and Medical Arts Pharmacy for many years.  She later volunteered in the cafeteria at St. Josephs Elementary School.  She was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church, church circle, and a fan of the Chicago Cubs. 
 
June is survived by a daughter, Sharon May and husband Dann of Mason City, son, Stephen Mandt and wife Connee of Mason City, grandchildren, Dann May and wife Donna of Mason City, Jodie Ferch and husband Craig of Austin, Minnesota, Michelle Moltz and husband Eric of Salida Colorado, June Mandt of Mason City, Julie Mandt of Phoenix, Arizona and Chad Mandt of Phoenix, Arizona, great-grandchildren, Ashley, Cassie and Jenna May, Brittney and Blake Michaelsen, Adam and Amy Ramsey, Sid & Beth Kraske, Jordan Ferch, Kaitlyn and Ryan Moltz, and Mason Brady, great great-grandchildren, Gage, Gavin and Grayson Ramsey, and Hudson Kraske, brother, Eldon Olson and wife Mary Lou of Mason City, nephew, Lyle Helgeland of Mason City and a niece, Kim Ritter.  
 
June is preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Selmer in 1945 and 2nd husband Donald in 2005, 3 brothers, Reuben, Gilmore and Selmer Helgeland
