Judith Ann Winfrey, 60, of Hampton, IA, died Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue – Mason City, with Rev. Brent Hamilton of Grace and Wesley United Methodist Churches officiating. Interment will be at the Way Side Cemetery in Chapin, IA. There will be a visitation from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Tuesday (January 3, 2012) at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the Judith Winfrey memorial fund, in care of the family. Judith was born August 26, 1951, in Mason City, the daughter of Herman 'Skeeter' and Gwenyth (King) Cory. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1969. In 1973, Judith graduated from LaJames Cosometology College and later became owner/operator of Town & Country Beauty Salon in Sheffield and Hampton - for many years. She married Lorel Winfrey on June 15, 1985, in Clarion, Iowa. She enjoyed spending time in her yard, collecting Iowa Hawkeye memorabilia, trips to Las Vegas and playing Bingo. She also enjoyed cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, St. Ansgar Saints, and Central College Softball teams. Judith is survived by 2 children: Christie Helmer and special friend Perry Hull of Mason City, and Lynn Helmer of Hampton, IA; 2 grandchildren: Renee Helmer of Hampton, IA and Ryan Helmer of Ruth, CA; her mother: Gwen Cory of Mason City; 1 brother: Dick Cory and wife Kim of Mason City; 1 sister: Karen Christensen of Charles City, IA; 3 step children: Loren Winfrey and wife Laurie of Ames, IA, Brian Winfrey and wife Shelly of Hampton, and Pam Peters and husband Tracy of Hutchinson, KS; 8 step grandchildren: Lucas, Tanner, Trevor, Colton, and Jace Winfrey, Zach and Spencer Peters, and Briana Winfrey; special niece: Jami Hepperly and her children: Brayden and Avery; nephews: Damon and Ben Cory; special grandchildren: Emily Nalan, Sam and Abby Hemann. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and 'adopted' family members. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007, her father, and 1 brother: Mike Cory.

Cemetery:
Interment will be at the Way Side Cemetery in Chapin, IA.

Memorials may be directed to the Judith Winfrey memorial fund, in care of the family.

Visitation:
There will be a visitation from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Tuesday (January 3, 2012) at Major Erickson Funeral Home.
