Mason City Juanita E. Hinrichs, 93, of Mason City, died Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 27, 2009 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1405 South Pennsylvania Ave. with the Rev. Keith Scott officiating. Interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave.. Memorials may be directed to the Senior Citizens Center in Mason City
Juanita Hinrichs was born April 30, 1915 in Jefferson City, Missouri the daughter of John W. and Nellie P. (Hedrick) Huffman. She moved to Mason City at an early age and attended and graduated from Mason City High School. She was married to William G. Hinrichs on October 8, 1933 in Rockwell, Iowa.
Juanita enjoyed taking care of her home and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was a member of the TAE Study Club, Tuesday Card Club, Church Circle, Senior Citizens Center, and also a long time member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Juanita will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters, Marcia Weitzel of Mason City and Diane Hinrichs of Mason City; three grandchildren, Steve (Cheryl) Weitzel of Mason City, Mark (Martha) Weitzel of Davenport, and Paul Weitzel and fianc Penny Moorehead of Mason City; six great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marcella Gruben of Mason City; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William in 1994, brother, Jack Huffman and sister, Marguarite Rose and son-in-law, George Weitzel.
