John 'Johnny' Lybarger

John “Johnny” Lybarger, 33, of Albert Lea, MN, formerly of Mason City, IA, died Saturday, May 12, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Chaplain Janet Dorenkamp of Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa officiating. Memorials may be directed to the John Lybarger memorial fund in care of the family. John was born May 27, 1978, in Mason City, the son of Jerry and Shelly (Thomas) Lybarger. Johnny enjoyed playing his guitar, cage fighting, fishing, taking walks in the rain, drawing, tattoos, and motorcycles. He also enjoyed writing poetry and had one of his pieces published. Johnny had a love for animals, and found joy in caring for his pit bull “Rizzle” and his cat “Lahana”. Johnny is survived by his mother: Shelly Lybarger of Albert Lea, MN; his father: Jerry Lybarger of Albert Lea; 2 brothers: Troy Lybarger and wife Monica of Klemme, IA and Travis Lybarger of Klemme; Johnny’s girlfriend: Jennifer Reuter of Hastings, MN; 4 special nieces and nephews: Brooklyn, Alisa, Ben, and Bryan; special aunts: Mary Jane Birkholz and husband Rich of Hanford, IA and Brenda Easley of Des Moines, IA. He is also survived by several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and 3 uncles: Charlie, Carson, and Robert Lybarger.
