Jean Riley

January 21, 1931 — April 21, 2011

Jean Riley, 80, of Clear Lake, formerly of Mason City, died Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday (April 23, 2011) at the First United Methodist Church - WAYside Chapel, 119 S. Georgia, with Rev. Jim Stiles officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Jean was born January 21, 1931 in Mason City, the daughter of Dean and Marjorie (Moore) Glanville. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1948. On November 18, 1948, she married William G. Riley in Mason City. Jean worked for Sears Roebuck & Company for 31 years before retiring in 1991. Jean truly enjoyed her career. She also enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking, and spending time with her family & her dog. Jean was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Jean is survived by her husband of 62 years: William Riley of Clear Lake; her son: Scott Riley and wife Pam of Lakeville, MN; daughter-in-law: Suzanne Riley of Springfield, VA; grandchildren: Sheri Prescott and husband Tony of Fort Meade, MD, Willem Riley and wife Stephanie of Eden Prairie, MN, Emily Riley and John Riley both of Springfield, VA; great grandchildren: Savannah, Alisa, and Levi Prescott of Fort Meade; one sister: Mary Stoynoff and husband Bill of Ventura, IA; sister-in-law: Patricia VanRy of St. Charles, MO; brother-in-law: Robert E. Riley of Rogers, AR; nephews: Nick Stoynoff and wife Linda of Chicago, IL, Tom Glanville and wife Mary Jo of Ames, IA, and Ron Glanville and wife Carrie of Clear Lake, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Lt. Col. Jeffrey Lynn Riley; brothers: Dean and Bob Glanville.

Cemetery:
Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery
