Janice Kraus

August 26, 1940 — April 19, 2011

Janice Jackie Kraus, 70, of Mason City, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM on Friday (April 22, 2011) at Grace United Methodist Church, 200 14th Street N.W., with Rev. Brent Hamilton officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM 7:00 PM on Thursday, (April 21, 2011) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue and continue one hour prior to the church service. Memorials may be directed to the Jackie Kraus memorial fund in care of the family. Janice was born August 26, 1940 in Nashua, Iowa, the daughter of Paul E. and Ferne Irene (Johnson) Janssen. She graduated High School in 1959, in New Hampton. Jackie was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren they were her pride and joy. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Jackie enjoyed taking family trips, drawing and writing. Jackie is survived by her son, Kevin (Jana) Kraus and their two children, Bailey and Brayden of Mason City; daughters, Kimberly and Kari Kraus of Mason City; brother, Arlen Janssen (Mary) of Nashua, IA; special friend, Sue Kraus of Mason City; sister-in-law: Pat Janssen of Dover, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the Tell family, who was very special to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Kathy and former husband: Larry Kraus in 2010; brother, Alvin Janssen; sister, Jean Janssen, and a sister in infancy.

Memorials may be directed to the Jackie Kraus memorial fund in care of the family

Cemetery:
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM 7:00 PM on Thursday, (April 21, 2011) at Major Erickson Funeral Home
