Janice K. Frank, 70, of Clear Lake, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, IA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams – Mason City. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Monday (September 3, 2012) with a Scriptural Wake Service at 6:30 PM, followed by a Rosary Service, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue – Mason City. Interment will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Janice Frank memorial fund in care of the family. Janice was born April 13, 1942, in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Donald and Alphine (Carlson) Steffels. Janice appreciated her Swedish heritage, and was often “teased” by her German father. She graduated from South St. Paul High School in 1960. Janice married Bob Frank on January 23, 1960, in Mason City. The couple lived together in St. Paul until her husband was transferred to Mason City in 1978. Over the years, she worked for McDonalds and the Globe Gazette. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Janice enjoyed spending time with her family and would look forward to the Holiday’s and family get-togethers. She also enjoyed taking rides with her husband, watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, taking care of her cat, spending time outdoors (especially by the lake), playing games, watching Hockey (especially Minnesota), shopping (finding “deals”), listening to her son-in-law’s band, camping, fishing, and parades. Janice is survived by her husband of 52 years: Bob Frank of Mason City; 6 children: Doug Frank and wife Donna of Mason City, Dan Frank and special friend Julie of Mason City, Vicki Caswell and husband Tom of Mason City, Lori Frank of Mason City, Ron Frank and wife Jen of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Cindy Rolando and husband Dusty of Ionia, IA; 14 grandchildren: Jeremy Frank and wife Kasey of Pleasant View, TN, Jessica Ecton and husband Drew of Virginia Beach, Jeffrey Frank and special friend Sarah of Lemoore, CA, Jason Olson of Castle Rock, CO, Erik Olson and wife Rachel of San Diego, CA, Bryen Servantez of Mason City, Bobbie Kohler and special friend Troy of Mason City, Mitch Servantez of Mason City, Max Servantez and special friend Nicole of Mason City, Jacob Frank of Cedar Rapids, Ryan Frank of Cedar Rapids, Tanner Frank of Cedar Rapids, Jordan Blunt of Ionia, and Parker Blunt of Ionia; 7 great grandchildren: Zane Frank, Noah, Taylor, Tori, and Kaelyn Olson, Landon Kohler, and Carter Servantez. She is also survived by her cat: “Sadie”. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Interment will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery
