Mason City: James Frederick Schultz, 63, of Morehead City, NC, died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at the Craven Regional Medical Center in New Bern, NC. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Monday, December 10, 2007, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with Pastor Jeff Dahlin of Praise Community Church officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Major Erickson Funeral Home. In leau of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society. James was born Feb. 29, 1944 in Austin, MN the son of Ernest and Katherine (Opkis) Schultz. He grew up in Mason City and graduated from Albert Lea High School. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Newport, NC. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, boating, traveling and spending time with his kids, grandkids, family and friends. He is survived by partner Lucy Crespo, Son Kevin Schultz and wife Cynthia of Finksburg, MD, son Terry Schultz and wife Julie of Silver Spring, MD, daughter Kimberly Harrison and husband George of Finksburg, MD, 5 grandchildren Lea and Sara Schultz, Emma and Todd Schultz, Ava Harrison, ex-wife and mother of his children Judith Schultz, two brothers Harold and Donald Schultz, and one Sister Lucy Billick, and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Shirley Kazmer.
