James M. Jarvill

James M. Jarvill, 72, of 1140 West State Street, died Monday, June 20 2005, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday (June 23, 2005) at the First Presbyterian Church, 201 Willowbrook Drive, with Rev. Terry Hamilton-Poore officiating. Inurnment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery at 10:00 A.M on Thursday (June 23, 2005). There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to Hospice of North Iowa or the First Presbyterian Church. James M. Jarvill, was born June 2, 1933 the son of Ernest R. and Edith (Mather) Jarvill in Laurens, Iowa. He attended high school in Laurens and graduated in 1952. He then married Geraldine A. Albers in Buffalo Center, Iowa on October 9, 1955. Jim was drafted in the United States Army in November of 1955 and served in the Korean War until his discharge in 1957. He then moved to Mason City in 1957, where he worked for the Esselte Pendaflex Corporation, Hedrick Bros., and the Klipto Corporation. Jim enjoyed collecting golf balls, working with the youth hockey association, and working on craft projects. He was a member of the Sertoma Club, Mason City Youth Hockey Association, Jaycees, and the Architectural Board of The Wells, in Mesa Arizona. He was also a long time member the First Presbyterian Church. Jim is survived by his children; daughter, Janna and husband Bruce Wuttke of Mason City; sons, David and wife Katie Jarvill of Charles City, Thomas Jarvill of Mason City; grandchildren, Andrew and Amanda Wuttke, Keely, Sam and Will Jarvill; sister; Donah Thede of Gladbrook, Iowa and special friend, Barbara Lewis of Mesa, Arizona Jim is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geraldine; and brother, Larry Jarvill.
