Inez M. Bendickson, 87, of Mason City, died Friday, December 10, 2010, at Good Shepherd Health Center. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 North Pennsylvania Avenue, with Pastor Kathy Graves officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue. Inurnment will be at the Rockford Riverside Cemetery in Rockford, IA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Inez Bendickson memorial fund in care of the family. Inez was born August 28, 1923, in rural Nora Springs, IA, the daughter of George H. and Olga L. (Krueger) Squier. She grew up on a farm in the Nora Springs/Orchard area and graduated from Orchard High School in 1942. In 1943 she moved to Mason City. Over the years, Inez worked for Curlys Corner Caf, Elks Lodge, Target, Midwest Construction, and Good Shepherd Health Center (Telephone Reassurance). She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a volunteer at the Senior Citizens Center, and also involved with the Cancer Society, Red Cross, and KCMR. Inez enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, embroidery, and especially loved crocheting and playing cards. Inez is survived by her children: Charles Vaile and wife Sharon of Shenandoah, IA, Ronald Bendickson and wife Bonnie of Clear Lake, IA, Richard Bendickson and wife Kim of Mason City, Roxanne Baker and husband Jeff of Mason City, Mark Bendickson and wife Dawn of Garner, IA; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 brother: Burr Squier wife Marvel of Rudd, IA; 3 half sisters: Bonnie Bitzen and husband Bernie of Alexandria, MN, Phyllis Brundell of Windom, SD, Sandra Schulte and husband Donald of Gaylord, MN; 2 half brothers: Gary Squier and wife LaVonne of Gaylord, MN, and Duane Squier and wife Kim of Hutchinson, MN; 2 sisters in law: Betty Squier of Mason City, and Crystal Squier of Nora Springs; 1 brother in law: Rod Sell of Nucla, CO.She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 daughter: Janice Marie; 2 sisters: Irene Medlin and Shirley Sell, 3 brothers: Roger Squier, Wendell Buck Squier, and Truman Squier; 2 half sisters: Marlene Stumm, and Donna Jean Sis Gondonskey; step sister: Deloris Tootie Baker.

Memorials:
