Hazel Scholl, 83, of Mason City, took the next step of life?s journey to be with her Lord on September 1, 2004. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, September 3, 2004, at Temple Baptist Church, 1211 South Kentucky Avenue with the Rev. Ed Barr officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6 ? 8 PM Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the Hazel Scholl memorial fund. Hazel J. Harringa was born May 23, 1921, the daughter of Herman and Frieda (Thorne) Harringa in Union Slough, Kossuth County. Hazel and husband Richard L. Scholl, owned and operated Al & Dick?s Crane and Wrecker Service for many years. Survivors include her children, Diana Bork, Woden, Ron Scholl and wife Jan, Flushing, Michigan, Linda Kennedy and husband Melvin, Burchinal, Bonnie Olson, Mason City, Kay Ingersoll and husband Bob, Sheffield, Karen Scholl, Forest City, Rick Scholl and wife Tammy, North Charleston, South Carolina; 20 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Myrtle Oudekerk, Clear Lake, sister-in-law, Anna Harringa, Forest City, brother-in-law, Bud and wife, Wilma Scholl, and sisters-in-law, Mrs. Harley (Jean) Scholl, and Mrs. Ed (Pat) Scholl, all of Rockwell. Her parents; husband, Richard L. Scholl, in 1973; daughters, Becky Scholl and Pam Scholl; four brothers, one sister, and two grandchildren preceded her in death. She will be greatly missed by family, special friends, and extended family.
