Golda A. Carty

Mason City Golda A. Carty, age 97, of Mason City, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at the I.O.O.F. Home. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 4, 2010, at Fairview Cemetery in Earlville, Iowa, with Pastor Jill Mack of Earlville United Parish UCC-UMC officiating. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Golda was born March 1, 1913, in Oneida Township, Iowa, the daughter of Axel and Blanche (Bailey) Larson. She graduated from Earlville High School. She was united in marriage to Elmer E. Carty on November 24, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois. Golda enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing bridge at the Senior Center. She was a member of the Mason City Country Club and First United Methodist Church.
Golda is survived by her niece, Polly Zimmerman of La Plata, MD; nephews, Michael Zimmerman, David Zimmerman; great niece, Sharon Ganily.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters.
