Gerald Prescott

SHEFFIELD Gerald Allen Prescott, 62, of Sheffield, died Saturday, June 26, 2010, at the Jessie View Resort in Deer River, MN, doing what he loved fishing in Minnesota. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. on Friday, July 2, 2010, at the First Christian Church, 318 N. Adams, Mason City, with Pastor Alan Berneman of the First Christian Church Hampton, officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM 8:00 PM on Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Gerald Prescott memorial fund in care of the family.

Jerry was born on March 19, 1948, in Mason City, the son of Roger and Eloise (Demitt) Prescott. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to spend time with his immediate and extended family. Jerry worked for 37.5 years for Land O Lakes and 2.5 years for Ruan and had recently retired. He attended First Christian Church in Mason City and he was a strong leader for the congregation.

Jerry is survived by his wife: Sandra Lee (McManus) Prescott; his mother: Eloise Prescott; one daughter: Monica (Prescott) Eckard; one son: Brian Prescott and wife Mollie; two grandsons: Matthew Eckard & wife Kayla and Nicholas Prescott; two brothers: Jim Prescott and Dennis Prescott & wife Lavonne.

Memorials may be directed to the Gerald Prescott memorial fund in care of the family.

Cemetery:
Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery

Visitation:
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM 8:00 PM on Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home
