G. Annette Haddy, 87 of 4 ? 3rd Street N.W., Mason City died Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, September 12, 2003 at Grace United Methodist Church, 200 ? 14th Street N.W., with Rev. Sarah Rohret Odoom officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Plymouth, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the Good Shepherd Telephone Reassurance Program. Visitation for Annette will be held 5:00 ? 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 11, 2003 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue and one hour prior to service time at the church on Friday. Annette was born August 6, 1916 the daughter of Sidney and Edith (Lester) Birch in Mason City, Iowa. She attended the Mason City Public School System and left school early to help provide for her family following the loss of her father. She worked for the Jacob E. Decker Company as a bookkeeper for over 40 years. She was united in marriage to William T. Haddy on September 20, 1941 in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Annette enjoyed playing bridge with her friends in their bridge club for many years. She was a caregiver for all of her family at one time or another. The past few years she has been caring for her sister Flossie. Annette is survived by one sister, Flossie Lorentzen, a sister-in-law Dorothy Birch, and one brother-in-law Frank White. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, brothers Dale and Cecil, and sisters Betty and Phyllis.
