Forrest E. Bull, 95, of 615 N. Monroe, died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday at the First Assembly of God Church, 1301 N. Carolina Avenue with Duane Bull officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue and continue at the church one hour before the service. Memorials may be given to the Forrest E. Bull Memorial Fund. Forrest was born April 16, 1911 in Mason City the son of Guy and Bessie (Slack) Bull. He attended schools in Mason City and later served in the National Guard. Forrest married Ethel B. McFarland December 24, 1929 in Mason City. They were married 72 years. Forrest worked as a meat cutter for Jacob E. Decker and Sons, Armour Company, for over 40 years. He retired in 1973. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Forrest enjoyed fishing, gardening and crafts, especially working with rocks. His favorite eating place was McDonalds. Forrest is survived by his children, Thayas Wilson and husband James of Mason City, Jack Bull and wife Jaunice of Mason City, Willis Bull and wife Patricia of Mason City, LaVonne Westendorf and husband Charles of Mason City, Lawrence Bull and wife Geraldine of Springfield, Missouri, Peggy Lipka and husband Peter of Belleview, Washington, Ronald Bull and wife Karen of Mason City, Duane Bull and wife Kristi of Poland, Ohio; 24 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; sisters, Charlotte Rush and husband Robert of Mason City, Mildred Moorehead of Mason City; many nieces and nephews. Forrest was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel in 2002; son, Guy; daughters, Mary and Doris; great grandsons, Jessie and Cody; 9 brothers and 4 sisters.
