Eva Sutton, 84, of 822 S. Rhode Island, Mason City died Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Mercy Living Plus, Oelwein, IA. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday (November 4, 2006) at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 329 East State Street, with the Rev. Sid Bohls officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 ? 7:00 PM at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue, and one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be given to the Eva Sutton memorial fund. Eva Sutton was born on September 1, 1922 to Sam and Theresa (Schmidt) Werstein in Britt, IA. In 1935 her family moved to Mason City where she attended school until the 11th grade. She married Edward Dale Sutton on April 12, 1947 in Mason City, Iowa. Eva was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was an active member of the church circle?s and taught Sunday school for many years. She loved spending time and socializing with her family and friends. She enjoyed crafts, cross stitching and also gardening. Eva is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Cline, of West Union, IA; son, Steve Sutton and wife Kristy of Plymouth; grandchildren; Michael (Erin) Cline, Saron (Karen) Sutton, Aimee (Joe) Greene, Mara (Pat) Engaldo, and Shawn Sutton, and great-grandchild, Mitchell and Samuel Cline and Dale Greene. Eva was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Dale; son, Edward JR; infant daughter, Peggy Ann; brothers, Peter, Anthony, Carl, Sebastian, Sam Jr., Mike, Casper; sisters, Anna Larson, Elizabeth Werstein, and Rose Lang. Major Erickson Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
