Erma P. Genth, 96, of Mason City, IA, formerly of Yoder, IN, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at Homestead Assisted Living. A funeral service and celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, IN, with Pastor Kenny Speakman of Fairview Church of God officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Ossian. Memorials may be directed to Fairview Church of God, 5511 Yoder Road, Yoder, IN 46798 or Hospice of North Iowa, 232 2nd Street Southeast, Mason City, IA 50401. Erma was born June 21, 1918, in Wells County, IN, the daughter of William and Ida (Graft) Trenary. Erma was a dedicated farm wife and mother of two children. She was united in marriage to Dale E. Genth on November 24, 1934. Together they farmed the Genth family farm near Yoder, IN, where she spent her entire adult life until moving to Homestead Assisted Living in Mason City on January 5, 2014. Erma served as Treasurer of the Pleasant Twp. Farm Bureau for a number of years and was a life-long member of the Fairview Church of God near Yoder. Erma enjoyed helping her husband and being a 4-H Leader. Left to cherish her memory is her son: Dean A. Genth and his husband Dr. Gary W. Swenson of Mason City; eight grandchildren: Debbie Baker and husband Danny, Lynne Utterback and husband Max, Kayla Russell and husband Shaun, Sarah Clippinger and husband Matt, Clayton Genth and fiancée Heather, Adden Swenson and fiancée Megan, Hakan Swenson, and Allel Swenson and fiancé Mckay; 10 great grandchildren; as well as two nephews: Barry Trenary and wife Bonnie and Scott Trenary. Erma was preceded in death by her husband Dale in 2003, and her only daughter, Linda (Genth) Schuller in 2013.

Cemetery:
Interment will take place in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Ossian.
