Eichmann Fred

Fred Eichmann Jr., 88 of Mason City, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at Heritage Care Center in Mason City. Funeral Services for Fred will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 6, 2003 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 2620 Highway 122 East, Mason City with Pastor Daird W. Korth officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials for Fred may be given to Messiah Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, June 5, 2003 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue. Fred was born February 15, 1915 the son of Fred Sr., and Marie Elizabeth (Buchamer) Eichmann in Winnipeg, Canada. He attended McKinley Elementary School and the Lincoln Township School and was united in marriage to Yvonne B. Knuths on September 13, 1950 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mason City. Fred was a charter member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Mason City. He was also active in AARP, Sr. Chamber of Commerce., Senior Citizens Center and a former member of the Mason City Garden Club. Fred was also an avid fisherman, hunter, gardener and ballroom dancer. He was a loving and attentive husband and father of 53 years. Fred is survived by: Wife: Yvonne Eichmann of Mason City Daughters: Carmen Eichmann and husband Steven Herzog of West Des Moines, Iowa Deanna Andrew and husband Kevin of Eagle Grove, Iowa Carol Sage and husband Bryan of Mason City Nina Werstein and husband Kevin of Plymouth, Minnesota Son:Douglas Boyington and special friend Julie of Emerson, Iowa Brother:John Eichmann and wife Juanita of Urbandale, Iowa Sister:Marie Alden of Boone, Iowa Sister-in-law:Lillian Eichmann of Harker Heights, Texas Sixteen Grandchildren Three Great Grandchildren Fred was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Alec and Henry Eichmann and one brother in infancy.
