MASON CITY ? Doris ?Dotty? Ethel (Bull) Schloemer, 86 of Mason City died Thursday, December 2, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, December 5, 2005 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 507 South Carolina Avenue with Pastor Curtis DeLong officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM Sunday, December 4, 2005 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue. Memorials may be directed to the Doris Schloemer Memorial Fund. Doris Ethel Bull was born September 12, 1919 in Mason City the daughter of Guy and Bessie (Slack) Bull. She attended Mason City Public Schools. Doris was united in marriage to Virgil Louis Schloemer on July 17, 1941 in Dakota City, Nebraska. Doris and Virgil lived in Mason City all their lives. She was a lifelong homemaker and valued her faith and family as the highest priorities in life. Doris enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in all kinds of sporting events. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and of TOPS. Doris is survived by her children, Allan (Glenys) Schloemer, David (Karen) Schloemer and Becky Swartwood all of Mason City. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Roxanne (John) Wagner of Mason City, David Swartwood and fiancee Lindsey Gardner of Mason City, Kristin Schloemer of Cedar Falls, Alissa (Toby) Wright of Rudd, Brian Schloemer of Ames and Brent Schloemer of Mason City; great grandchildren, Ben Wagner and Devin Wright; brother, Forrest Bull of Mason City; sisters, Charlotte (Robert) Rush and Mildred Moorehead all of Mason City; brother-in-law, Herluf Jaspersen of Belton, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Pauline Bull of Mason City and Lois Bull of Rockford, Illinois and a special family friend, Kay Schumaker of Mason City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Bessie (Slack) Bull, her husband, Virgil on June 23, 1983; brothers, Rollie, Maurice, Russell, Leonard, Gale, Allan, Bobby, Paul and Buddy; sisters, Helen, Betty and Lois.
