Doris Adeline Marth, 81, of Mason City, died Saturday, December 16, 2006, at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient in Mason City, Iowa. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday (December 20, 2006) at the First United Methodist Church in Mason City, 119 S. Georgia, with Rev. Jim Stiles officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City, IA. Visitation will be from 4 ? 7 PM Tuesday (December 19, 2006) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa. Doris Marth was born January 3, 1925, west of Marble Rock in Floyd County, IA, the daughter of David C. and Maude E. (Wilhelm) Boyd. She graduated from Charles City High School in 1943. She married Lester R. Marth on March 25, 1947, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA; to this union three children were born. Lester and Doris farmed in Ulster Twp., Floyd Co., IA, and later Portland Twp., Cerro Gordo Co., IA. Doris was a 4-H leader while her daughters were members. Doris was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mason City and Social Hour Club. She and Lester loved traveling and spending time with their family. Doris is survived by her husband, Lester; children, Merikay Mestad of Garner, Pamela Benish and husband Edward of Winona, MN, Gail Allison and husband Philip of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Lisa Benish, Jason Allison and wife Paula, Adam Benish and wife Amy, Hope Saadaoui and husband Zied, and Joe Allison and wife Kelly; brother Duane Boyd and wife Genevieve of Charles City. Doris was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Glenn, James and Kenneth. Funeral Arrangements are with Major-Erickson Funeral Home & Crematory. (641)- 423-0924.
