Dorine D. Deets, 76, of 1033 19th Street SW, died Monday, April 26, 2010 at home. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday at First Covenant Church, Highway 18 at Ohio East with Pastor Marty Garrett and Pastor Tammy Swanson-Draheim. Inurnment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue. Memorials may be given to the Dorine D. Deets Memorial Fund.

Dorine was born August 22, 1933 in Mason City the daughter of Gilbert and Helen (Fistler) Randall. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1951 then attended Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota for 1 year. Dorine married Emmet Deets October 10, 1952 in Mason City. Dorine worked as a night supervisor for Gerard of Iowa for 20 years. She retired in 1994. Dorine enjoyed playing cards.

Dorine is survived by her 3 sons, Randy (Sandy) Deets of Carlisle, Kevin (Jane) Deets of Iowa City, and Marty (Kathy) Deets of Cheyenne, Wyoming; brother, Ray (Fran) Randall of Mason City; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Dorine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Emmet; Dorine had Great Loves Live On etched upon their grave marker 37 years ago. Dorine & Emmet are together again. Great loves live on. She was also preceded by son, Rodney and daughter, Cindy both lost in infancy; 1 brother, Clifton Randall.
