Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Diantha Kaye Buss was born May 12, 1951 to Bernette and Bonnie Buss in Charles City, Iowa. She grew up in rural Parkersburg, Iowa with her parents and two brothers and two sisters. Diantha accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age during a week of camp at Iowa Regular Baptist Camp in Ventura, Iowa. She attended school in Parkersburg and graduated in 1969. She attended cosmetology school in Waterloo and Cedar Falls, Iowa receiving her degree from Cedar Falls School of Beauty in 1970. Diantha married her high school sweetheart Curt Junker on May 9, 1970. Curt and Diantha lived in Waverly, Dike, Parkersburg, Lansing and Mason City, Iowa. They were blessed by God to become the parents of three wonderful children. She loved her husband and soulmate, Curt, and her children Aaron & Tamara Junker of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and daughter Melody & Scott Lahmann, and grandchildren Molly, Benjamin, Caitlyn, Abigail, Madeline and Samuel of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Their daughter Jennifer preceded her to heaven September 22, 1988, along with father Bernette, brother Dennis, and a nephew Jeff Hemmen. She was also preceded in death by her father and mother in law, three brother in laws, three sister in laws and 4 nephews: Fred, Anna, Alvin, Alfred, Calvin, Rosie, Zee, Norma, Wendel, Malcom,Vernon, & Roger. Diantha was a light to all that met her, with her infectious laugh and welcoming smile. While living in Lansing they served for 10 years at Village Creek Bible Camp. Camp was a very special place for Di and she loved being able to share her love for the Lord with her gifts, quickly becoming the heartbeat of the camp. Her creative touch and beautiful spirit is deeply missed but “we know that in ALL things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28” This was her favorite verse which she quoted often. We take great comfort in the truth of His word, knowing that today Curt’s “Lady Di” is in paradise.
