Deloris was born on October 22, 1930 on the family farm near Delmont, South Dakota.  She was the daughter of Robert and Emma (Isaak) Freier.   She graduated from Tripp High School in 1948.  On August 6, 1950 she married Roland A. During inclement weather, they would walk in the Southbridge Mall.    She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church where she was active in Womans Choir and Hope Circle Group.   For a year, Roland would take Deloris to the Salvation Army Day Care, where she was well cared for.  Deloris spent the last 18 months at the IOOF Home where she was lovingly cared for.
