He rarely passed an opportunity to explore, whether it be an antique shop in the middle of nowhere or a hip restaurant in Brooklyn. A gifted artist, excellent skier and an avid fan of all Chicago sports teams, especially the Blackhawks, Dave passionately pursued all of his eclectic interests. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Linda Coddington, his sister Sara Estrick and her husband Neil of Grayslake, Illinois, and his brother Bill and wife Sarah of Urbandale, Iowa. He especially loved his four nephews, Jack and Henry Estrick and Tom and James Coddington. He is also survived by his grandparents, Bill and Sue Kellenberger of Elgin, Illinois as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Betty Coddington of Humboldt, Iowa. Though a man of few words, he had an amazing group of loyal supportive friends throughout his life. He will be missed by all of them, but most of all by his constant companion of 13 years, his dog Django.
