Daniel Anthony Pals, 24 of 109 17th St. NE, died Thursday (April 15, 2004) at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. James M. Magelssen officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue and continue at the church Monday one hour before the service. Memorials may be given to the Daniel A. Pals Memorial Fund. Dan was born November 24, 1979 in Mason City the son of Anthony and Nadine (Quitney) Pals and brother to Jarrod and Derek. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1998 and North Iowa Area Community College in 2001. Dan was currently employed by Custom Concrete Contractors and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Dan will be greatly missed by the people whose lives he touched. His greatest loves were his family, friends, music, cars, snowboarding and water sports. He loved to entertain drawing his family and friends together. Words cannot express how deeply he?ll be missed. God bless him. Dan is survived by his parents, Anthony ?Tony? and Nadine Pals of Mason City; 2 brothers, Jarrod Pals of Mason City, Derek Pals of Mason City; nephew, Ethan Pals of Mason City; maternal grandparents, Richard and Connie Quitney of Mason City; aunts and uncles, Dennis and Joan Pals of Castle Rock, CO, Frank and Kathy Scherffius of Burlington, KS, Debra Quitney of Mason City, Russell Quitney of Bullhead City, AZ, Paul and Diane Fitzgerald of St. Michael, MN, Patti and Gary Petersen of Rockwell, Pam and Dan Osgood of Mason City, Mike Fitzgerald of Chicago, IL, Jim Fitzgerald of Des Moines; numerous cousins. Dan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ed and Margaret Pals; maternal grandmother, Meridith Quitney; great grandparents, Harley and Ruth Berhow; cousin, ?JJ? Pals.
