Cynthia R. Martinson, 65, of Mason City, IA, died Sunday, August 3, 2014, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Per her wishes, her body was cremated. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Sunday, August 10, 2014, at the Moose Lodge, 22 4th Street N.W., Mason City. Memorials may be directed to Cynthia Martinson Memorial Fund in care of the family. Cindy was born May 9, 1949, in Mason City, the daughter of Everett and Janet (Hrubetz) Klein. In 1967, she graduated from Northwood High School in Northwood, IA. She married William R. Martinson Jr. on September 13, 1969 in Northwood. She worked for First National Bank as a Teller for 34 years, before her retirement in 2004. Cindy enjoyed spending time with her family & friends, tending to her flower beds, scratching tickets and sipping on a nice cold beer. She also enjoyed the yearly poker trips with her husband, going to Okoboji, and taking care of her 3 fury children/cats: Pedro Jose, Kitty Martinson and Miracle. Cindy liked watching TV – especially the cooking channel, the Chicago Bears and the Bold & the Beautiful. She did not like to be interrupted during her “stories”. Cindy is survived by her husband of 44 years: Bill Martinson of Mason City; children: Mandy Martinson of Waseca, MN, and Richie Martinson and wife Stephanie of Mason City; grandchildren: Devon, Parker and Raeya; sister: Sharon and husband Dennis of Mason City; sisters-in-law: JoAnn, Sheryl, Lou Jean and Tootie; brother-in-law: Jack, Aunt: Phyllis, nieces, nephews as well as many friends, and her special friend: Kaye. She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother and father-in-law: William and Cora Martinson; sister-in-law: Karen; and brother-in-law: Milford.

Service:
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Sunday, August 10, 2014, at the Moose Lodge.
