Charlotte "Gussie" Rae Frisch

July 24, 1943 — February 11, 2016

Charlotte “Gussie” Rae Frisch, 80 “ish”, of Grand Junction, CO, and formerly of Mason City, IA, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, peacefully at her home with friends and family by her side. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Colorado with Rev. James Plough officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 19, 2016, at the Sacred Heart Cemetery – Manly, IA with Rev. John Gossman of Sacred Heath Catholic Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Colorado Discover Ability, P.O. Box 1924, Grand Junction, CO 81502, Hope West Hospice, 3090B N. 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO or Catholic Outreach, 245 1st Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501.

Charlotte was a secretary for 25 years, first at Immaculate Heart of Mary School, then at Holy Family School. She was born in March, late 1920’s, to Paul D. and Clara Swanson Gustafson in Mason City. She spent her childhood in Mason City, graduating from high school in 1947. Charlotte married Adolph “Joe” Frisch on December 29, 1952, in Manly. Joe passed away on October 16, 1970, in Wichita, KS.
She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. She loved her grandchildren, was an avid skier, Bronco fan, devoted swimmer, loved JUCO games, and the great outdoors.

Survivors include a daughter, Jo Marie (Robert) Reeves of Arvada, CO; sons, Chuck (Donna) Frisch of Alliance, NE; Gary Frisch of Houston, TX, and David (Lisa) Frisch of Grand Junction; ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, three sisters, and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
