Charles H. Shill, 69, of 301 S. Rhode Island died Tuesday (July 1, 2003) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Kenneth Hatland officiating. Private family inurnment services will be Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Saturday till time of service at the church. Memorials may be given to the Charles H. Shill Memorial Fund. Chuck was born May 27, 1934 in Jasper County Iowa the son of Harold and Mabel (Fehrmann) Shill. He was raised in Laurel, Iowa graduating from high school there. Chuck served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge, he moved to Mason City. He married Karen L. Daniels December 8, 1957 in Mason City. Chuck owned and operated Shill?s Maid Rite for 30 years retiring in 1996. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge, past member of the Shrine and a lifetime member of the VFW. Chuck is survived by his children; Scott Shill and wife Richelle of Eau Claire, WI, Tim Shill and wife Char of Nome, AK, James Shill of Mason City, Carla Quail and husband Mark of Spencer, Grandchildren; Nicholas, Nathan, Christopher, Tyler, Logan, Amy, Liana and Dustin, Sisters; Florence Funke of State Center, Catherine ?Kate? Booth and husband Warren of Cedar Rapids. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Karen, 3 brothers; Marvin, Leonard and Fritz
