MASON CITY ? Carline M. Billick, 73 of 233 22nd St. S.E. died Saturday, June 10, 2006 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday (June 14, 2006) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. David Biddle and Rev. Ron Stein of the First Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be from 5 ? 8 PM on Tuesday (June 13, 2006) at Major Erickson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family. Interment will be in Elmwood ? St. Joseph Cemetery. Carline M. Billick was born on October 17, 1932 in Mason City, the daughter of Clarence and Edna (Dodd) Day. She attended Mason City schools and attained her G.E.D., she also continued her education at NIAAC later in life. She married Elmer E. Billick Sr. on September 25, 1955 in Mason City, Iowa. Carline was the owner and operator of the Painter?s Shack. She had a passion for ceramics and enjoyed spending time working with ceramics at her shop. She also enjoyed teaching other people the art of ceramics. Her family was important to her and she enjoyed the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Mason City Tri Club. Carline is survived by her husband, Elmer E. Billick Sr. of Mason City; her sons, Clarence Billick and wife Mary of New Jersey, Rodney McClain and wife Derra of Texas; her daughter, Darcy Saindon and husband Mike of Stuart, Iowa; grandchildren, Jill and husband Elvin Rasmussen, Michael and wife Melissa McClain, Spring McClain, Jennifer McClain, Shannon and husband Wayne Cagle, Aaron and wife Melissa Claude, Amie Awe, Tessa Billick, Angela Billick, Andrea Brinker, Lindsey and husband Ryan Ciupa, Teffany Saindon and Benjamin and wife Melissa Rezab; fourteen great-grandchildren and special friend of the family, Penny Pattee. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Elmer E. Billick Jr. and Rick McClain; grandson, John Ross Rezab; great-granddaughter, Angelica Awe; brothers, Carroll Day and Harley Day; sisters, Clarabell Day and Evelyn B. Beard. Major Erickson Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. (641)- 423-0924.
