Bonnie Lou DeWall

August 29, 1929 — February 3, 2013

Bonnie Lou DeWall, peacefully passed away at 83 years of age on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Heritage Care Center in Mason City which had been her home for many years. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 8, 2013, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Glen Bandel officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. till the time of service at the funeral home. A luncheon will be held immediately following the services in the fellowship hall at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 120 1st St. N.E. Memorials may be directed to the Bonnie L. DeWall memorial fund in care of the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.majorericksonfuneralhome.com. Beloved wife of Donald E. DeWall for 53 years; beloved mother of Nancy Fisher, John DeWall, Jeanne DeWall and Koni Hayes; beloved grandmother of Amy Johnson, Erin Neeley, Jody Hackbart, David Kalvig and Chad, Jeremy & Curtis DeWall and Lisa Smith; Justus DeWall; Jocoby & Cameron Rose and Jadon Hayes. She is survived by her brothers ,Roger Tweed and Mike Tweed of Thompson and her sister, Dorothy Alden of Dougherty and many nieces & nephews and many grand-nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Opal Tweed of Lake Mills Iowa, her brothers, Deward Elmo & Don Earl Tweed, Dean Tweed of Marble Rock, Ray Tweed of Lake Mills, and her sisters Leona Thompson, Yvonne Weiley, and Gayle Bolton. As an avid photographer and poet, her favorite subjects where always her family. She was a sweet soul and she will be always remembered with great love.
