Barbara F. Dolter

Barbara ?Barb? F. Dolter, 82, of 302 2nd Street NE, died Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Good Shepard Healthcare Center surrounded by her family. Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday in the WAYside chapel at First United Methodist Church, 119 South Georgia Avenue with Rev. Jim Stiles officiating. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa. Barbara Ann Ross was born July 14, 1924 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of John W. and Margaret C. Ross. She married Carl B. Frank on October 18, 1946 in San Francisco. To this union, four children were born. Prior to Barb?s illness, she was a volunteer at Mercy Hospital for 25 years. She enjoyed many things including cooking, Mahjongg, music, traveling and family get-togethers with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Steven Frank of Wichita, Kansas; daughters, Susan Seely and husband Charles of Mason City, Deborah Frank of Cincinnati, Ohio, Katherine Frank, Los Angeles, California; grandchildren, Jennifer Skahen and husband Sean, Jessica Wasicek and husband Anthony, Christina Calvin and husband Paul, Rebecca Fedders, Brittany Fedders, Rachael Frank; great-grandchildren, Alexa, Van, and Ella Wasicek, Thomas, Brenna, Caitlin, and Jack Skahen, Cristian Calvin; and another great-grandchild due this summer; sister, Jeanne Benson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl Frank, husband Gerald Dolter, and brother Robert Ross. Barb will be greatly missed by her family and friends but her wonderful spirit will remain strong in all who loved her. Arrangements are with Major Erickson Funeral Home & Crematory.
