Arlyce J. Faille, 68, of 1630 N. Carolina Avenue., died Monday, January 15, 2007 at home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday (January 18, 2007) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. with the Rev. Keith Scott of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4PM ? 7PM Wednesday (January 17, 2007) and one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the Arlyce Faille memorial fund. Arlyce was born on February 13, 1938 in Sisseton, South Dakota, to Arthur and Ruby (Harrison) Welch. She attended school in Mason City. On December 10, 1953 she was united in marriage to Julian M. Faille in Kankakee, IL. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, crocheting, sewing, baking and cooking. Arlyce is survived 5 children; Steven Faille and wife Christeen of Cedar Rapids, IA, Sandra Fett of De Soto, IA, Duane Faille of Mason City, Linda Johnson and husband Terry of Snow Mass Village, CO., and Julie Meier of Mason City; 9 grandchildren, Eric, Danielle, Kyle, Brandi, Dionne, Buddy, John, Lindsey and Alex; 5 great-grandchildren: Sean, Joey, Jayden, Savannah, and Brody; 1 brother: Eugene Welch of Dallas, TX; 1 sister: Lois Holmes and husband Charles of Mason City; and 1 half brother: Charles Jackson Jr. and wife Barbra of Rockwell, Iowa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Julian in 1982.
