Antony Slater

Antony Slater, 54, of Mason City, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Paul Collier officiating.

Antony was born April 7, 1962 the son of John and Patricia (Murgatroyd) Slater in Northampton, United Kingdom. Antony has lived in the UK Australia, Sweden, Belgium, New Jersey and Iowa.

Antony’s sunny disposition, generous spirit matched his big grin. He loved a good chat and to be a big tease. Antony enjoyed sailing, a good Aussie BBQ and making friends and memories.

Antony loved to travel the world, discovering new adventures and meeting new people. He was everyones chief technical officer for home or work issues. He loved new gadgets and figuring out how they worked.

Antony is survived by his wife, Angela Swanton; parents, John and Pat Slater; brothers, Peter (Justine) Slater, Richard (Jo) Slater; brothers and sisters-in-law, Virgina Swanton (Bill Power) , Tan (Liz) Swanton , 9 nieces and nephews, Billy, Georgie, Charlie, Abbey, Lachy, Darcy, Mick, Lucinda and Ben.
