Anita B. Legler, 85, of 302 2nd St. NE, died Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the Good Shepherd Health Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Mark Lavrenz, Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Memorials may be given to Hospice of North Iowa or Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Anita was born August 2, 1920 in Mason City the daughter of Clifford and Anna (Christensen) Baumgartner. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1938. Anita married Henry Legler June 11, 1939 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She worked for Como Photo Finishing Company for 47 years. She retired in 1984. Anita was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Anita is survived by a step-daughter, Donna Grodeon and husband Keith of Mascoutah, Illinois; step-granddaughters, Kim Bergheger and husband Brent of Mascoutah, Illinois, Lisa McDonald and husband William of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Amy Albrecht and husband Brad of Waterloo; step-great grandchildren, Allison, Courtney and Katelynn Bergheger, Megan, Joshua, Jason, Rachel and Ryan McDonald, Kylie, Quinten and Nathan Albrecht. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, LaVaun Pinckney, Marilyn Olson; brother, Dean Baumgartner.
