Alice Spilman

Alice Spilman, 89, of Mason City, died Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Health Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, February 8, 2016 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 815 North Kentucky Ave., with the Rev. Matthew Lucio officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Alice Spilman Memorial Fund.

Alice was born September 3, 1926 the daughter of Tom and Winnie (Frye) Spilman in Clear Lake, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Clear Lake High School. Following graduation Alice continued her education at Union College, Lincoln, Nebraska. Alice later excepted a job with the ASCS Office where she was the secretary for 35 years.

Alice enjoyed and looked forward to working with people, especially the young people of church. Even though Alice never married she helped raise many children over the years. She was a life long member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Ms. Spilman is survived by her sister Norma Howell and numerous nieces and nephews.
